The College of Business Merit Scholarship was established at The University of Southern Mississippi to recognize the importance of character. The scholarship, which will provide full tuition and a book allowance, will be awarded each semester to a student enrolled in the College of Business with a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average.

The scholarship was established by Hyler Bracey, Aubrey Sanford and Cass Flagg (Bracey’s wife), all who are either alumni and/or former professors at Southern Miss, and are committed to a scholarship based on integrity, willingness to work hard, commitment to finishing a degree, financial need and strong academic performance. They have “primed the pump” and are asking others to contribute at any level. Rather than putting their names on the scholarship, Bracey, Sanford and Flagg wanted the College of Business Merit Scholarship to give everyone the opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life.
