With The Campaign for Southern Miss, the USM Foundation hopes to harness the enthusiasm of all of our employees by encouraging them to make a gift. The most important thing we want everyone to know is that you can give to the area that means the most to you—your department, your college or a particular scholarship fund. The list of possible designations at the Foundation is long and diverse. The goal of the Campaign is to increase our faculty and staff giving participation rate to 40 percent by May 1, 2013. Truly, participation in the Campaign matters more than the amount of your gift, because the higher our overall participation goes, the more impressive it is to foundations, corporations, the legislature and our alumni. All of these groups want to know when they consider giving to Southern Miss that the faculty and staff believe in the University as much as they do.
