College of Business Annual Scholarships


College of Business Eagle Scholars Annual Scholarship (Fund No. 0186)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student enrolled in the College of Business with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference shall be given in the following order: 1) financial need; 2) academic record; 3) integrity; and 4) commitment to finish his/her degree. See Exhibit A for complete details.

Alphonso Williams Memorial Education Scholarship Fund (Fund No. 1291)
The purpose of this fund is to provide tuition assistance to capable and deserving students from south Mississippi. Preference shall be given to students from an under-represented ethnic group. The award shall be equally divided between fall and spring semesters. Recipients must be majors in the College of Business with specific interest in entrepreneurship and small business management. Recipients must be enrolled as full-time students and must maintain a 2.75 overall grade point average. Finally, it is preferred that awards be offered to students with limited other scholarship assistance. Recipients should be selected by the Office of Financial Aid.

Northwestern Mutual Financial Network College of Business Annual Scholarship Fund (Fund No. 1838)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student in the College of Business with a classification of sophomore or higher who is from one of the following counties: George, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River or Stone. The student must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5.

Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding College of Business Annual Scholarship Fund
(Fund No. 1919)
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to students majoring in Finance or Accounting. Preference will be given to students residing in the College of Business Honors House. Up to $1,000 of the original gift may be used for expenses related to student activities within the College of Business.

Reed Allison Business Annual Scholarship
 (Fund No. 1948)
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to freshmen, sophomore, junior or senior college baseball players that are enrolled in the College of Business. The recipient should be a student of honor and hold no less than the minimum grade point average set forth by the NCAA for non-athletic scholarships. The recipient must remain in good standing with the baseball team and maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Kevin Prince College of Business Annual Scholarship (Fund No. 1953)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a sophomore, junior or senior enrolled in the College of Business with a minimum 2.8 GPA. Disbursement amount from the fund to be limited to $1,000 per year.

Willis Brumfield Memorial Scholarship (Fund No. 1993)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a junior Accounting or Finance major.

Thomas A. Traxler Memorial Annual Scholarship (Fund No. 2016)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student with financial need, majoring in the College of Business, from Crystal Springs, Mississippi. If no student from that area meets the criteria, the scholarship will be awarded to another qualified student majoring in the College of Business.

Northwestern Mutual Financial Network of Hattiesburg College of Business Annual Scholarship (Fund No. 2076)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student in the College of Business with a classification of sophomore or higher whose home is in Lamar, Forrest, or Jones County, Mississippi. The student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Dr. Charles Jordan Accounting Annual Scholarship (Fund No. 2083)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to an outstanding student from an Intermediate Accounting I and/or Intermediate Accounting II course.  This scholarship is intended to be awarded at the Spring Awards Banquet each year.

Beta Alpha Psi Annual Scholarship (Fund No. 2145)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to an outstanding student member of Beta Alpha Psi.

Elaina Spradley-Skinner "Sweetpea" Memorial Annual Scholarship (Fund No. 2150)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in Tourism and Resort Management with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to a student who is involved on campus and also maintains a part-time job. 


College of Business Endowed Scholarships


Blue Cross Blue Shield Finance Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 0528)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship that shall be awarded to a student majoring in Finance.

Julie Cook Sperber Memorial Scholarship
(Fund No. 0535)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship for a rising junior or senior Marketing major who is a full-time student with a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 and a GPA of 3.7 in the Marketing curriculum. The student should be well-rounded and active in campus activities. The student should possess good verbal and writing skill and prepare a one-page essay describing how he/she meets the criteria. The donor or designated representative shall have the option to serve on the selection committee. Request for distribution will be initiated by the Chair of the Department of Marketing after the selection committee has determined that an applicant meets the criteria.

Mississippi Casino Operators Association Endowment for Scholarships
(Fund No. 0558)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to 1) a junior or senior enrolled in the Tourism Management program on the Gulf Park campus; 2) a student who has an emphasis in Casino/Resort Management; 3) a student with a 3.0 GPA. In order to requalify for this scholarship, the recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Alfreddy Cook Memorial Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 0562)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to be awarded to a student enrolled in Hospitality Management who demonstrates financial need. Preference shall be given to students from Covington, Forrest, George, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Lamar, Perry, Stone, and Warren counties. If a student with financial need cannot be identified, the financial need criterion may be waived. If the Hospitality Management program ceases to exist, the scholarship may be awarded to a student enrolled in the College of Business.

USM Estate Planning Council Scholarship
(Fund No. 0619)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a Business Administration major in the field of Accounting or Finance who will be a junior or senior. The department heads will nominate three recipients. The executive committee of the Estate Planning Council will then choose the scholarship recipients.

Mary Elizabeth England Scholarship
(Fund No. 0620)
The purpose of this fund is to provide financial assistance to a worthy, deserving and needy female student in the College of Business Administration.

Bob and Sandy Boothe Endowed Scholarship in Management
(Fund No. 0626)
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to students in the College of Business Administration majoring in Management who demonstrate financial need. Selection to be made through Financial Aid Office.

Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company Endowed Scholarship
(Fund No. 0632)
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to deserving students who demonstrate financial need and are in good academic standing in the College of Business at The University of Southern Mississippi. Preference is to be given to the applicants that are either employees of the company or immediate family members of an employee. Selection to be made by a faculty committee in the College of Business.

Samuel W. and Dee Thornton Abbott Scholarship
 Endowment (Fund No. 0637)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to be awarded to juniors or seniors majoring in Accounting or graduate students pursuing their Master of Business Administration or Master of Professional Accountancy degrees who have a 2.5 GPA. First preference shall be given to students from Forrest or Lamar County, and second preference shall be given to students from the state of Mississippi.

Roger Poulos Memorial Academic Endowment
(Fund No. 0647)
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to USM Gulf Coast students, graduate or undergraduate, majoring in Real Estate or a field related to Business Administration and having an indication from prior records of positive leadership and service to the community.

Distinguished Order of Zerocrats Endowment
(Fund No. 0672)
The purpose of this fund is to establish a scholarship for students with financial need pursuing a career in the food industry.

Marshal Rayburn Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 0680)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a deserving student with financial need majoring in Finance. Preference will be given to a student from Forrest or Lamar County. If no student from that area meets the criteria, the scholarship will be awarded to another qualified student.

HSMAI - Gulf South Chapter Endowment
(Fund No. 0685)
The purpose of this fund is to provide financial assistance to a junior or senior majoring in Hospitality Management at the Gulf Park Campus. Student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75, demonstrate service to the industry and financial need. The student must also maintain a GPA of 2.75 or better to qualify for the award in the spring semester. The recipient will be selected by the department of Financial Aid.

Hotel and Restaurant Advisory Board Endowment
(Fund No. 0714)
The purpose of this fund is to provide supplemental scholarships. Interest is to be transferred to HRDA #160.

W. B. Harlan Scholarship
(Fund No. 0731)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a young man of character and intelligence in need of a scholarship. He must be a Business major.

Jarvis Maxey Accounting Award Endowment
(Fund No. 0751)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a student in the School of Accounting. Each recipient shall be selected by the College of Business.

Lowery Woodall Scholarship
(Fund No. 0763)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to students in the College of Business upon recommendation of the area.

Fred D. Kenamond Accounting Scholarships
(Fund No. 0764)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a student majoring in Accounting upon recommendation of the Accounting Scholarship Committee.

Munro Petroleum Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 0766)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a student enrolled in the master's degree program in Economic Development.

Paul McMullan Scholarship
(Fund No. 0771)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a Mississippian who is majoring in Banking and Finance.

Hattiesburg Area Association of Realtors, Inc. Scholarship Endowment
 (Fund No. 0774)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a Real Estate major with preference to a student from one of the following counties: Forrest, Lamar, Marion, Covington, Perry or Stone.

Alfred A. and Doris R. Breeland Scholarship
(Fund No. 0777)
The purpose of this fund is to provide support for the College of Business Administration for scholarships and/or awards to worthy junior and senior students, with preference given to Accounting majors. The award of funds should not be limited to "needy" students, as we believe students benefit from recognition even when financial need is not a consideration.

Maurice Joseph Real Estate Endowment
(Fund No. 0782)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a student in Real Estate who has financial need.

Exxon Scholarship in Accounting
(Fund No. 0801)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a major in Accounting as selected by the Kenamond Scholarship Committee.

Richard Clark Scholarship
(Fund No. 0813)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a student in Business Administration.

Krandall Howell Scholarship
(Fund No. 0830)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a student from the McComb, Summit and Magnolia area studying in Business Administration. The recipient should not be receiving any other academic scholarships and must be a member of the Student Alumni Association.

Jerold J. Morgan Scholarship
(Fund No. 0832)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships to outstanding Accounting students, to be selected by the Accounting Scholarship Committee.

Charles and Marty Herrin Scholarship
(Fund No. 0833)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a student in the College of Business, based on need.

Jackson Rapid Delivery Service Endowment
(Fund No. 0845)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a capable and deserving student from the Jackson area majoring in Accounting.

Herschel and Lynn Shattles Endowment (Fund No. 0865)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student majoring in Business Administration who is a graduate of Forrest County Agricultural High School. Preference shall be given to a freshman. If no graduate from Forrest County Agricultural High School meets the criteria, the scholarship will be awarded to another qualified student from Forrest or Lamar County who is majoring in business administration. If no student from Forrest or Lamar County meets the criteria, another qualified student majoring in Business Administration will be awarded the scholarship. Each recipient shall be selected by the Department of Management and Marketing.

Mildred Lindley Williams Scholarship
(Fund No. 0875)
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships for worthy and needy students attending The University of Southern Mississippi, who are resident citizens of Mississippi, with preference being given to majors or students in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

C. Caruthers Sullivan, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Endowment (0879)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student majoring in any program within the Department of Economic and Workforce Development. Preference will be given to a student with financial need and to a student who plans to stay in the area.

Randy Lusk Memorial Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 0896)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student majoring in Business Administration, Finance or Marketing. Preference shall be given to a student who is a graduate of Pike County High School or who has transferred from Southwest Mississippi Community College.

Henry E. Terry Business Administration Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 0929)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student majoring in Business Administration at the Gulf Coast campus.

Gordon H. White Banking and Finance Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 0944)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to an undergraduate student with financial need who is majoring in Finance with an emphasis in Banking and Finance. The student should be from Forrest or Lauderdale County. If a student with financial need cannot be identified, the financial need criterion may be waived. If no student from Forrest or Lauderdale County meets the criteria, the scholarship will be awarded to another qualified student.

O'Keefe Companies Endowment
(Fund No. 0954)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student with academic promise, financial need and who is community-service oriented. Student should be from the College of Business. One-half of the annual award goes to a student on the Gulf Park campus and one-half of the annual award to a student on the Hattiesburg campus.

Rhodes and Ingram Economic Development Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 1184)
The purpose of this fund is to provide tuition assistance to a Mississippi economic developer (or developers) who is a member of the Mississippi Economic Development Council, for tuition related to courses toward completion of a masters degree in Economic Development. One half of past and future funds raised from Economic Development Scholarship Roasts--such as the 2002 Jack Rhodes Roast--will be added to this endowment.

Gabriel J. Shoemaker Scholarship in Accounting
(Fund No. 1186)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a deserving Accounting major who is entering their senior year. Recipient should show academic promise and demonstrate (providing proof) a commitment to community service. Applicants must provide a personal statement (paragraph) describing their community service and why they have chosen to do it. Selection of the recipient shall be made by the College of Business Administration scholarship committee.

James A. Grayson Accounting Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 1228)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a deserving student majoring in Accounting.

Earl B. McNeely, Jr. College of Business Administration Scholarship
(Fund No. 1268)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a deserving student majoring in the College of Business. Selection of award shall be coordinated by the Dean of the College of Business.

Raymond G. and Gayle T. Farmer Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 1340)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a married student majoring in Finance with an emphasis in Financial Planning. The student must have a 2.5 GPA. If no students majoring in Finance with an emphasis in Financial Planning qualify, this scholarship shall be awarded to another qualified student majoring in Finance.

Dorothy Thomsen First Lady in Finance Endowment
(Fund No. 1350)
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships for students in Finance and for a lecture series in the College of Business in the name of Dorothy Thomsen.

Richard C. Vreeland Department of Marketing and Management Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 1425)
The purpose of this fund is to award scholarships to students who are majoring in Marketing in the College of Business. Selection will be made by the Chair of Marketing and Management along with selected faculty.

Nelson Valdez Pritchett Endowed Scholarship
(Fund No. 1449)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship. Selection will be made by a faculty committee in the College of Business on an annual basis.

Doris Williams Draughn Accounting Scholarship
(Fund No. 1476)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to an incoming freshman who demonstrates financial need through the Financial Aid Office. This student(s) should have had a 3.0 GPA their senior year in high school. Scholarship may be continued as long as a 3.0 GPA is maintained in college. Selection of scholarship shall be the responsibility of the Department Chair of Accounting.

Mississippi Tourism Association - Vicki Miller Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 1515)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student majoring in Tourism Management. Preference shall be given to a student who has demonstrated academic excellence, service to the tourism industry and financial need. If no student from that area meets the criteria, the scholarship will be awarded to another qualified student.

Warren and June Wild Endowed Scholarship
(Fund No. 1526)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a deserving undergraduate or graduate student in the College of Business, with an emphasis in Banking and Finance or Personal Financial Planning. The scholarship will be for a period of one academic year (two semesters). The student must have at least a 3.0 overall GPA, and as determined by the selection committee possess high ethical standards and leadership capabilities. Preference should be given first to a student from Pike County, Mississippi, or Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, assuming all other criteria have been met. In the event that no student from either of these locations applies, the scholarship will be made available to other qualified candidates from Mississippi. The recipient will be determined annually by a selection committee consisting of the current Dean of the College of Business and the department Chair(s) of Banking and Finance and Personal Financial Planning.

Joe Johnson Memorial Endowment in Economic Development (Fund No. 1551)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a master's level student in Economic Development at The University of Southern Mississippi.

Bob Lowe Endowment
(Fund No. 1594)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship for a student majoring in Tourism Management with an emphasis in Restaurant Management. The student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. If no student meets the criteria, the scholarship will be awarded to another qualified student in the College of Business.

Genevieve Bizzell Accounting Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 1623)

The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student majoring in Accounting with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to a student who is a single parent or the child of a single parent.

Margaret Wilson Luce/Mississippi Export Railroad Scholarship
(Fund No. 1624)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship for the College of Business and Economic Development. The scholarship is not need-based and is to be awarded to someone from Alabama or Mississippi who is a moral person with respectable academics and who demonstrates high energy/drive (preference to Economic Development students). Scholarship is to remain in COB.

Marvin and Willie Maud Early CBA Scholarship
(Fund No. 1659)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to an incoming freshman student who has attained a minimum of 22 ACT score; to continue receiving the scholarship, the student must maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA. This scholarship shall be given to a student seeking a degree within the College of Business; the selection process shall be the responsibility of the Dean of the college.

Lattoria Johnson Memorial Scholarship
(Fund No. 1676)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a male or female African-American student in the College of Business who has a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference shall be given to someone who has a stated career goal and who has been actively involved in community service.

Linnie Cockrell Simmons College of Business Endowment for Scholarships
(Fund No. 1705)
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships for students in the College of Business. The criterion for receiving this scholarship is the recipient must be from Jones County in the state of Mississippi.

First Southern Bank Scholarship Endowment in Memory of Jack Morris and Mattie Morris
(Fund No. 1722)
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships for students in Banking and Finance in the College of Business at The University of Southern Mississippi. The student must be a freshman Banking and Finance major with a 3.0 minimum high school grade point average. Preference shall be given to a student from Marion, Lamar, Forrest, Pearl River or Perry County. If no student from that major or area meets the criteria, the scholarship will be awarded to another qualified student.

Bill C. Hudson, Jr. Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 1734)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student within the College of Business with financial need and a minimum 3.0 grade point average.

Robert J. Giordano Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 1736)
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships for students in the College of Business. The recipient must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and be from Rankin County, Mississippi If no student from that area meets the criteria, the scholarship will be awarded to another qualified student.

Benjamin F. Courtney Memorial Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 1758)
The purpose of this fund is to award scholarships to students in the College of Business with preference given to students majoring in Business Administration. Preference shall also be given to students with financial need and to students who are from south Mississippi. A minimum 2.5 GPA is required.

Raymond T. and Janice B. Arnold Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 1762)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student enrolled in the College of Business at The University of Southern Mississippi with preference given to a student majoring in marketing. If no recipient is identified within the Marketing department then a recipient may be selected from any department within the College of Business at The University of Southern Mississippi.

Joy Lightsey Accounting Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 1773)
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships for students in the School of Accountancy and Information Systems in the College of Business at The University of Southern Mississippi. Each recipient shall be selected by the School of Accountancy and Information Systems. This scholarship shall be awarded to a student majoring in Accounting with a 3.0 GPA who has achieved at least sophomore classification. If no student from that area meets the criteria, the scholarship will be awarded to another qualified student in the College of Business.

Joseph F. Boardman, Jr. Excellence in Banking Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 1791)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student majoring in Finance with an emphasis in Banking and Finance. Preference shall be given to a junior, senior or graduate student who exhibits outstanding scholastic achievement as well as civic and community leadership. Preference shall be given to students from South Mississippi who express a desire to pursue a professional career in banking in Mississippi. If no student from South Mississippi meets the criteria, the scholarship will be awarded to another qualified student.

John O. Everett and Rita Hull Accounting Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. (Fund No. 1827)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student majoring in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 2.75. Preference shall be given to an incoming community college transfer student or a qualifying sophomore or junior.

Alumni Association Accounting Constituent Society Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 1840)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student majoring in Accounting with a classification of junior or higher who has a minimum grade point average of 3.0. The student must have completed an accounting internship approved for course credit by the School of Accountancy and Information Systems. If the accounting internship program at The University of Southern Mississippi ceases to exist, the accounting internship criteria may be waived.

Billy Hewes College of Business Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 1845)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student enrolled in the College of Business. Preference shall be given to graduates of Gulfport High School, Harrison Central High School, St. Patrick Catholic High School or Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College transfers.

Merchants Foodservice Hospitality Management Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 1871)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student in Hospitality Management who is a native Mississippian.

Joli Boardman Pecht College of Business Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 1924)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a junior or senior enrolled in the College of Business with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Southern AgCredit Scholarship Endowment
(Fund No. 1942)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Business or an incoming freshman entering the College of Business. The student must have demonstrated academic achievement, be of good moral character and have demonstrated leadership ability. Preference may be given to students who are children of stockholders of Southern AgCredit. Preference may also be given to students who are from the following fifty counties that the Southern AgCredit services: Adams, Amite, Carroll, Claiborne, Clarke, Copiah, Covington, Forrest, Franklin, George, Greene, Grenada, Hancock, Harrison, Hinds, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Kemper, Lamar, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Leake, Leflore, Lincoln, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Neshoba, Newton, Pearl River, Perry, Pike, Rankin, Scott, Sharkey, Simpson, Smith, Stone, Walthall, Warren, Washington, Wayne, Wilkinson and Yazoo.

The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to incoming freshmen seeking a degree in the College of Business. Selection process to be coordinated by the dean of the college.

Larry K. Gregory Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 1996)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a junior or senior with a minimum 2.75 GPA who is a resident of Mississippi. The scholarship may be awarded to a full-time Casino, Hospitality and Tourism Management major, a full-time Mississippi casino industry employee with at least one year of service who is enrolled in the Casino, Hospitality and Tourism Management program (full-time or part-time) or a full-time College of Business major who has taken at least 6 credit hours of Casino Management courses and is employed part-time (20 hours per week) in the casino industry. All applicants must provide a letter of recommendation from a professor and a one-page essay on their past, present, and future casino industry activities and goals. If the applicant is a casino industry employee and a non-Casino, Hospitality and Tourism Management major, he or she must provide proof of employment and a letter of recommendation from their casino employer. Preference will be given to students with a demonstrated interest in casino resort management. 

Shelia and Greg White Gulf Coast Business Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 2015)

The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student attending Southern Miss Gulf Coast currently living in Harrison County, MS, majoring in any major within the College of Business with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Rodney Van Loon Memorial Accounting Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 2021)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a junior or senior Accounting major from Hancock, Harrison, Stone or Jackson County in Mississippi. If no junior or senior qualifies, the scholarship may be awarded to a freshman or sophomore from the same geographic areas.

Jeffrey A. Hollingshead Accounting Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 2053)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student with financial need, majoring in Accounting. Preference will be given to a male Jones County Junior College graduate or transfer student.

Jack Gavin Early Memorial Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 2054)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student majoring in Accounting with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to a veteran or student with financial need.

Bernadette Levens Tolson and Friends Accounting Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 2065)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student who is majoring in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.2 and is a transfer student from a junior or community college.

Carol L. Jones-Russell, Esq. Business Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 2077)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to an African-American female student in any major in the College of Business with financial need and a minimum GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to a junior or senior. Preference will also be given to a student from Forrest County, Mississippi.

College of Business Eagle Scholars Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 2100) 
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student in any major in the College of Business who has a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference shall be given in the following order: 1) financial need; 2) academic record; 3) integrity; and 4) commitment to finish his/her degree. See Exhibit A for complete details.

Albert F. and Ruth W. Dugan Accounting Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 2117) 
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student in the Master of Professional Accountancy program. Consideration will be given on the basis of the virtues that Mr. and Mrs. Dugan instilled in their children: concern for others, character, work ethic, motivation and academic achievement. 

Robbins College of Business Veterans Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 2124)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a junior with financial need in any major in the College of Business for two academic years. First preference shall be given to honorably discharged veterans and active duty service members (Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, and Navy). Second preference shall be given to the spouse or children of honorably discharged veterans and active duty military service members. If there are no qualified candidates from the preference groups, the scholarship may be awarded to any student who is a Mississippi resident meeting the other criteria.

Metropolitan Club College of Business Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 2141)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a sophomore, junior or senior with financial need in any major in the College of Business. Student must be from Forrest or Lamar County, Mississippi, and have a minimum 2.7 GPA.

Jack Oppie Accounting Scholarship Endowment (Fund No. 2159)
The purpose of this fund is to award a scholarship to a student in the Master of Professional Accountancy program who plans to sit for the CPA exam. First preference will be given to a student who is married with children. Second preference will be given to a student from Jackson County, Mississippi. Third preference will be given to a student with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
