Fundraising Priorities

The University of Southern Mississippi Foundation operates on an initiative-based fundraising model for the institution, allowing us to pursue private funding for the University’s top fundraising priorities as determined by the University’s leadership.

From building projects to program development, the USM Foundation’s Top Fundraising Initiatives support a wide variety of areas at Southern Miss. Information about each initiative can be found using the links below.

Established in 2015, the Joe Paul Student Leaders Scholarship Endowment will benefit students who are significantly engaged at Southern Miss serving in leadership roles. This fundraising initiative also serves as a way for our alumni to commemorate their involvement as a student leader at Southern Miss through naming opportunities in The Joe Paul Student Theater.

Center for Military Veterans, Service Members and Families

Established in 2014, the Center for Military Veterans, Service Members and Families provides an education support program that offers student veterans, military service members and their families the opportunity to pursue an academic degree from Southern Miss.

College of Business EAGLE Scholars Program

Established in 2011, the EAGLE Scholars Scholarship Endowment was founded for the purpose of recognizing the significance of character. The scholarship, which supports students with full tuition and a book allowance, is based on integrity, work ethic, commitment to finishing a degree, and financial need.
